01/13/2003 Entry: "Grrrumble"

I'm in a horrible mood right now thanks to Dish Network. My situation is STILL unresolved there...which really grates on me, and I am baffled how a company can simply cause a very easy process to be so screwed up. I really don't like confrontations, and most particularly I don't like having to fight to get what's fair. Now I'm not an especially ugly spirited sorta person at all...but this situation definately brings out the yuckies in me. I am so mad at them right now. I don't think I am being unreasonable. My request was that I be able to talk to ONE person until this issue is settled. Apparently that's impossible. That's really what they told me...that it would not be possible for me to talk to ONE person until this is resolved. Nope...so I get to tell the whole story over and over and over again. And I'm telling you...today I talked to this snippy little girl who happened to have a spanish accent...uhuh. I asked to speak to her supervisor...she put me on hold for like 10 minutes...then the supervisor picks up the phone and WOW!! I could hardly believe how much this supervisor sounded just like the girl I had just talked with. Now before someone jumps to the conclusion that I am in some way being disrespectful to her ethnic background...let me be really clear. It was the SAME girl. Now, I can't prove it of course, but she really must think I am absolutely stupid. I mean seriously. SO...Dish Network is on my "stinky business" list. Cause they are running some kinda stinky business there.

I talked to my Dad who tried to tell me to call Mr. Charles Ergen, the CEO of Dish Network. Now there's something you should know about my Dad. Ya see...he doesn't EVER waste time on the little guys...he jumps right to the top lol I actually DID dial up the corporate headquarters today...I didn't really talk to anyone, but at the time if they had of answered I would have told them my story and went from there. I settled for sending a letter via Dish's website for now. Sorry Dad...I should have called good ole Charlie instead of you before huh? lol Wasted all my good mad and irritated courage on a conversation with you instead of with someone who could fix it...well, then again...no conversation with my Daddy is a wasted one ((((((((((((((squish))))))))))))))

We had spaghetti for dinner tonight, yummy! Used my new 4 tray toaster to make some garlic bread which invariably is a big hit with the children. I actually was up until the crack of dawn finishing up the newsletter for the Scouts...but I *did* finish it! (the crowd goes wild) I know, I know...I was pretty doggoned impressed too! Of course I printed it on my computer...40 copies...and noticed AFTER the copies were done, front and back...that I had a GLARINGLY obvious misspelling on there. I hate that. So...I had a choice...reprint wasting a TON of ink which I just bought...or live with the embarrassment that I mispelled an obvious word. Ehh...well, I decided to live with the embarrassment...but since I had another note to attach I put on THAT note that I knew there were a few mispelled words. HAHA LEST someone think I didn't KNOW there were misspelled words ya know? Yah...I'm a little obsessive sometimes I know. My thoughts are as a homeschooling Mom, people will look at me in a light of thinking "she's teaching her kids" and then if I have misspelled words...they are thinking "she's teaching her kids" Get it?

Yeah me too. Or. Me either. Either way.

Well, I have dishes to do, floors to clean, and the never ending pile of laundry awaits my attention. Maybe it's time for me to become a Fly Baby again. The funny thing is--I have been thinking of a title for this thingy...as most places you want to list at want a title. Maybe I should call it "Drowing Fly Baby" lol Okay so, I can't think of anything yet that is good enough--any suggestions? I have been thinking of calling it "Still Becoming..." because...well...I am?

Oh yeah...talked to my dh today...they were getting underway to some very heavy seas...spare a prayer or two for them and their safety as they do their work. =o) Thanks!

Blessings and prayers to all!
~A
