01/17/2003 Entry: "Can you imagine--"
Can you imagine my status of pure euphoria when I woke up this morning to find my husband and our three children playing a rousting game of Monopoly, spying my children from the stairs helping one another to play without even a hint of "I can play better than you?"--as I walked through the house the mess of yesterday had been taken care of as there were no boxes, wire ties, or other packaging materials to be found, the dishes had been completely done and put away, the garbage had been emptied, the cat pan was clean and there were two loads of laundry ALREADY done. I checked my email and there was a love note from my dh--and he said he was so interested in what I had done all week he had come here and read all about it. All of that and there was a big ole 44 ounce sweet tea from Taco Bell waiting for me along with a freshly made pitcher of my dh's famous tea in the fridge chilling to perfection. Can you just imagine it?
Yeah...me either...what I actually woke up to was the mess from yesterday combined with all the newly made messes of the morning and my dh playing a new video game he just bought--to which he said "everyone else got a toy so I did to" ack...where's MY toy? Yeah yeah...
lol okay in all fairness, I realized I was not in a proper "I can face the day" mood so I promptly went back to bed, somewhat with my dh's blessings (he left me alone when I said "don't bug me" lol) When I woke up the SECOND time--my dh was still playing the video game, but I knew he hadn't the whole time because the house WAS cleaner! All of the garbage and whatnot was gone, and the toys were slowly finding their way to the basket at the bottom of the stairs, the kids had been fed lunch, been taken outside to play with B's new remote control car, and I had not heard a single peep out of any of them the whole time I napped. BTW, no...I never mentioned any of my fantasies to my dh before I went back to bed--he really is that precious =o) And for the record lest anyone think I am actually complaining, my dh is INCREDIBLE. He lets me sleep in when he is home, he babies me, and it's really not unusual for him to have the house neatened when I wake up. He is awesome with our children, and he treats me like a princess when I will actually let him! He brings me my favorite sweet teas, he runs me bubble baths, and indulges me when I stay up too late reading books or watching a movie we rented that I keep moving around rousing him in his sleep--and most especially he knows every single little bitty strange, unusual, and annoying thing I do--and loves me in spite of them..or maybe sometimes BECAUSE of them...you'd have to ask him =o) I love him and he's a blessing I truly do try to never take for granted. So you see, at any given time all of the things I mentioned in my dream up there have happened...sometimes seperately, sometimes together, but I am spoiled by my precious dh--I admit.
So today we spent a great deal of time working on B's car for the Pinewood Derby on Sunday and we also got all the toys rounded up from the downstairs. We had a stuffed animal fight, a family movie night (we watched "The Country Bears"), baked chocolate chip cookies, and I cleaned out the fridge. That was on a need to know basis of course.
We are off to bed, early, maybe a movie or something for dh and I, he's reading over my shoulder and I keep waiting for him to say "that's not what happened" but he hasn't, so I must not be wrong. =o) You know I'm right, after all you read it on the internet...that makes me right ~snicker~ Oh he's installing a game on the other computer...so maybe *I* will be watching a movie tonight =o)
Okay well, be blessed!!! I shall chat tomorrow! ~A
