02/01/2003 Entry: "Blessings of the day!"
A quick note--we're off to bed--but we had a wonderful day today! We had our homeschool day with our friends--a full day of fun and playing and looking at catalogues and musing over all of our book desires...dh watched the children and my dear friend and I actually got to go off by ourselves to Sams Club and to the Christian Book Store where we actually indulged at the little cafe inside where they offer lots of good drinks and sweet treats!  We marveled at a moment of peace where we could just be women! =o) That's a neat feeling every now and again, but I wouldn't want to feel it all the time! I love my children and dh too much!
Praise the Lord for a dh who was willing to keep SIX children today to give me a break and my dear friend a tremendous break as well. He is such a blessing! (I  You Babe!) He treats me like a  !! I know there are not alot of men who would send his wife and her friend off for an afternoon of shopping when he was going to have to stay home with SIX children--a 9 year old boy, an 8 year old boy, a 7 year old girl, a 6 year old girl, a 4 year old girl, and a 3 year old girl. But HE did it...that's why he's always been my  knight in shining armour. AND--when we got home my friend's dh had came over from when he got off work--and they ordered pizza and subs from a local shop! So us gals really DID get quite a break today! Our friends blessed us by treating us to dinner on them =o) I'm thankful for good friends--and for the record the Lord really IS working on my friend's husband! I am happy to say that I think God might bring him around in the end....only God knows for sure, but I am still in prayer that he will become the man God means for him to be and most of all the man that I am so sure my friend deserves. She loves him tremendously--and I know she wants things to be okay...I pray that God touches both of their lives and opens her dh up to how wonderful life could be.
My dh told me to make my "wish" list of books and such for this year's school year (we buy stuff with income tax $) so I am excited to sit for hours over the weekend and look through all of my catalogues! Right now I am so blessed.
Because there's not much I can do for my dh right now...I'm putting this here cause he thought it was SO cool!
