02/07/2003 Entry: "Boys Night Out/Girls Night In"
Well, the boys are on their camp out--err...in. They are at the Exploreum and are having a BALL and a half!! Lemme tell ya! They called earlier and they were having the greatest time. Got to build a rocket--and watch the Imax film which apparently was beyond words--and just all around had a BLAST! B has decided that he wants to have his b-day party there.
As for my little princesses and I *this reminds me of a story--see below*...we made homemade pizzas (cheese only for them)--then we rented "Spirit" on pay per view because that is one of R's favorite movies and we haven't bought it yet. She was SO surprised! After we ate, the girls took a long hot bath and played with that bubble foam--they pretended that they were operating an ice cream shop. While they were bathing, I did the dishes and finished up all of the cake baking (yes we are done! still have to frost and decorate though!)--then I baked some chocolate chip cookies ...got the girls out of the bath...put on pjs and got out all of the fun stuff while we watched Crocodile Hunter's movie. I put lotion on their feet and rubbed them, blow dried their hair (which my girls think is a treat?)--and then painted their finger & toe nails. We have had a super fun girly girl night!!! It's so cool to be a gal!
Dh just called to tell us goodnight and said to tell ya'll howdy and they send their love too! He's so sweet! I'm such a wimp...I miss him, he's only been gone for about 7 hours, but I miss him.
I am off to go sleep with the girls, they will be sharing my bed tonight as we have a slumber party. Maybe I'll pop some popcorn and we'll watch another movie...It's so fun to not *have* to do anything!
Hope you are all blessed!!

The story: C is convinced she is a princess for real. She says to me the other day "Mommy when are you going to get married?" and I am confused ...I say "I am already married" so she says "no...when are you going to get married to Daddy? He's the prince" and I'm even more confused and I tell her "honey, Daddy and I are already married--we have been married for 11 years." She is frustrated now a little bit so she says "but when do you get to wear the beautiful (bootifool) dress and the horses come?" and I'm figuring this out now...I tell her I already got to do those things a long time ago and pointed to a picture from our wedding --she says "well, when do we get to go live in the castle?" I am not sure whether to laugh or cry--nor how worried I should be about her future expectations in a mate...but hey, I am going to have to believe that this points to the fact that she will never settle for less than she is truly worth.
