03/25/2003 Entry: "Whew..."
Okay I know from where you are sitting it looks the same...everything seems to be in it's place and I can hear your sigh of relief that the site is back up =o) You would be partially correct. Even though everything appears the same...it's not. I have moved servers...something I had been planning to do for a while now, but you know how you plan to do things "eventually" and then "eventually" is sometimes forced to be "right now"...yah...so I spent the last 24 hours moving everything from my old server to this one. For anyone who doesn't know what a pain in the heiny this is, consider yourself fortunate because that means a) you've never had to do it and b) I'm not going to bore you with all the details of ascii vs binary, delicate file structures, and permission settings, but let's just be really clear...it was not easy.
However, I feel victorious today because I did it and it's done. YAY! And hey, in retrospect it is probably a really good thing I couldn't post last week because I would have just made everyone miserable with how sick we all were lol Indeed, as of today we are all feeling heaps better--still some coughing and sniffling here and there but overall we are all well on our way to getting "back to healthy status". I will be glad when we are all better. Dh had to go back to work today. When his alarm went off I heard him say he didn't want to go...and me being the loving and sympathetic wife that I am said "hurry up and turn that thing off before you wake the kids"...hey, it was endearing I know...
So now we are eating sandwiches and pringles for lunch and I am fixing to go clean house. Nothing destroys your house more than Mommy being sick...it's only compounded when Mom is sick and everyone else is NOT. Ideally everyone would be sick at the same time that way everyone is so sick they can't mess anything up. When just Mom is sick, everyone else is well about making mini-messies all over the place and Mom feels so icky she just covers her head up with a blanket and repeats that old mantra about Calgon, really hoping instead of being wisked away to a warm bubble bath which would hurt her already aching skin she would be wisked away to a quiet hotel room where she could hibernate for a few days.
All whining aside, I do have to go do cleanups on most of the house since I let everything slide while I was sick. I'll be done sometime around mid-June if everything goes as planned haha Hope you are all blessed!
Blessings!!! ~A
