"I appreciate the members of the United States Coast Guard who are here today. Our Coast Guard is deployed in the Middle East, at the same time it protects this homeland of ours. And you're doing a fine job on behalf of the American people, all up and down the coastlines of this great country."--George W. Bush
Not to mention the fact that in his last two speeches he has said
"Army, Navy, Airforce, Coast Guard and Marines" while talking about our MILITARY services. Bravo Zulu Mr. Bush!!!!!! Some of you may (or not) know my ongoing battle with the ignorance of your average citizen who will deny the fact that the Coast Guard IS a military branch--that the United States does not have FOUR military services but has FIVE--and that the CG has been active in EVERY war our nation has known...I'll stop there as I can get really going on the topic however, let it be known that our Commander in Chief is obviously WELL AWARE of whom he commands lol it is all FIVE branches of the United States Armed Forces...including our beloved Coast Guard! WHOO HOO~!
