05/16/2003 Entry: "Just a "normal" day..."

I am sitting here eating a pina colada shaved ice (no alcohol of course!). We have one of those ice machines and I just made the girls one too. They are so nummy. B & dh are at his end of Scout Year swim party. I decided not to let the girls go...too many rambunctious boys for two wee ones to attend. They'll have fun though, and I am fixing to pull out the paints for the chickies. We stayed up late last night watching the lunar eclipse. Did anyone else watch? It was totally awesome! Of course it was a learning opportunity so now we all know what the umbra and penumbra are...do you? hehe if not I suggest you find out before the next lunar eclipse which is November 8-9...and then brace yourself for the only total solar eclipse in the same month on the 23rd. This is by fare the best website you could read on the subject:

Eclipses by Fred Espenak

In other news, I have a new client who runs a heating and air conditioning company which I am working on right now. I have a few other leads which look promising so I am very prayerful that this will all work out as we are really working hard to get our finances in order so we can save some money...gee, I know isn't EVERYONE? Yeah yeah...well, we really have been trying but things never seem to go as we plan, and as always, more things come up than we could predict every time. I know we are not the only family who struggles with money from time to time, but wow...we have a really bad average here lol At any rate, we have invested a lot of money into this business and it will be nice to pay back some of the money to ourselves finally. At least that is my prayer. I am excited to be working at a fairly steady pace right now though. I am still having fun with it which is the real success story I think.

What else? Well, we made animal masks today and C went around the house roaring like a lion lol We also made mini-books...and dh brought home some peanut butter cookies from work that he made which were positively YUMMY. I love peanut butter cookies, especially when I don't have to bake them lol hehe

Well, I am off to clean off my desk, and let the girlies paint some pictures...maybe I'll scan some and let ya'll see how totally creative they are!

I hope you are all very blessed!
~A
