Well, it's a challenge to get here and record all that has been happening, so I promise to do so tomorrow--but just had to share a website I ran across...talk about bringing back memories...I had tears in my eyes as I looked at the pictures:

Governor's Island National Monument

I think we would still be there today if they hadn't of closed us down...loved that island...my own little peice of heaven on Earth...a sweet island filled with wonderful things, a quick ferry ride to the exciting metropolis known as NYC...a breathtaking view of Lady Liberty right out of my living room window...the BEST fireworks known to mankind on the rooftop of our building taking place over the Brooklyn Bridge, and best of all some friends who became FAMILY that I still love and know as brothers and sisters to this day. This was by far one of my most loved places we have lived so far. Perhaps one day we'll go take a tour of it...

They opened the island up for public tours last Thursday:

Governor's Island Photo Gallery
CNN Article About First Tours

~sigh~

One thing is for certain...nothing stays the same...but it looks like the parks and recreation will do their best to see to it that Governor's Island DOES =o)

God bless!

Okay time for me to finish up the LAST entry I wrote. Nevermind how long it's been I have a mind like a steel trap haha

Okay so the last time I wrote I was talking about the kids fishing and WOOHEE did they fish! C had her very own fishing pole, just like R's--they come with these cool plastic fish that you tie on there so they can practice casting and such. Well, C didn't want to "really" fish--she wanted to just cast it, so she would cast that plastic fish out there and then she would struggle like she was reeling in a BIG one and then pull up the plastic fish and carry on over the BIG fish she had just caught lol At one point dh did talk her into trying to catch a real fish which she did:

One of the strangest things we saw while we were fishing had to be the neon green worms that dh bought at the little store. They were GLOW in the dark green...and ewww so icky! They did try fishing with them for a while but didn't catch as much with them as with the corn. Dh forgot to put on sunscreen the whole day so he ended up totally burned on his back...poor guy...he is not as fair skinned as me so he didn't burn THAT bad but he was a little uncomfortable for a while.

We had SO much fun on the jetski's. Mamaw took the girls out for a ride and they had so much FUN!! Dh and I also rode around and then we took the kids out in the tube...

After we'd taken the kids out dh wanted me to take him on the tube. B rode with me backwards so he could tell me if I needed to stop. I went pretty slow to start off with and B was saying that it was pretty smooth. I then went faster. I surprised myself how fast I went lol but heck, I wanted dh to have a really exciting ride...muhahahaha SO...I hear B yell for me to stop that dh had fallen off (but of course he did!) B was worried about dh then so he had to reassure B that this was indeed FUN and that he was okay. Dh withstood two more throws off going at increasingly wild speeds each time lol the last flip off dh said he actually threw himself off as the prospect of falling off in mid turn seemed like it would hurt alot more. Who would have thought I would be so crazy huh? I think it really surprised dh too haha I know it surprised him when he hit the water muhahaha (again).

Well, I have three weeks of info to write but right now I have to go make dinner. I will be back soon I promise!
